Benjamin F. was born on August 8th, 1835.1 Benjamin F.'s father was Joseph Poley and his mother was Frances Gates. His paternal grandparents were Charles Pouley Poley and Elizabeth Rowland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Peter F., Isaac F., Joseph, Charles M., Alonzo G., Mary C., Caroline, Matilda Francis and Louisa E.. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Elisha, Willie, Nancy C. and Lizzie.1 -
