William Henry Palmer 
William Henry was born in 1817 in Butler, Wayne County, New York. William Henry's father was William Henry Palmer and his mother was Mary Hughson. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Palmer and Rebecca Unknown. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Matthew, Levi Henry, Ann Eliza, Mary, Amanda, Rebecca and Mahala. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-sister named Juliet. He died at the age of 72 on July 4th, 1889 in Pauline, Nebraska. He was buried in Blue Valley Cemetary, Ayr, Nebraska.General Notes
Established his home on a farm on Crane Road in Butler, Wayne County, New York, where they resided until about 1879, when he sold the farm and moved to Nebraska. The Reverend O. Switzer, who had been pastor of the M.E. Church at Builter Center, resigned his pastorate, and with his family, accompanied the Palmers Nebraska. This group also included William's wife Betsey, his son George and adopted daughter Mary, William's sister Ann Eliza and her husband Levi Sherman.
