Thomas Paine 
Thomas was born about 1539 in Newton, Suffolk, , England.1 Thomas' father was William Paine and his mother was Margery Ash. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Paine and Elizabeth Walton. He had six brothers and five sisters, named George, Nicholas, Edward, Anthony, Henry, John, Agatha, Elizabeth, Agnes, Anna and Frances. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.1 -
