Nicholas Paine 
Nicholas was born about 1534 in Newton, Suffolk, , England.1 Nicholas' father was William Paine and his mother was Margery Ash. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Paine and Elizabeth Walton. He had six brothers and five sisters, named George, Edward, Anthony, Thomas, Henry, John, Agatha, Elizabeth, Agnes, Anna and Frances. He was the second oldest of the twelve children.1 -
