Ezekiel [Red Zeke] Newport

Ezekiel [Red Zeke] was born in 1830 in Rhea, Scott, Tennessee.¹   Ezekiel [Red Zeke]'s father was Asa Newport and his mother was Elizabeth Rodgers. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Asa, James F, Richard G, Polly Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret, July H and Sabry.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 10 in 1840.¹
