Isabella Napier

Isabella was born about 1483 in Of, Merchiston, Mid Lothian, Scotland.¹ Isabella's father was Archibald Napier and her mother was Catherine Douglas. Her paternal grandparents were John Napier and Elizabeth Menteith; her maternal grandfather was William Douglas. She had a brother and five sisters, named Alexander, Catherine, Margaret, Marion, Janet and Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the seven children.¹
