Archibald Napier 
Archibald was born about 1449 in Of, Merchistoun, Mid Lothian, Scotland.1 Archibald's father was John Napier and his mother was Elizabeth Menteith. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Napier and Elizabeth Lauder; his maternal grandfather was Murdoch Menteith. He had two brothers and two sisters, named George, John, Janet and Margaret. He was the oldest of the five children.1 -
