Sarah Jane was born on January 1st, 1851 in Beaufort Co., SC.1 Sarah Jane's father was Francis Mulligan and her mother was Eliza Lavonia Dean. Her maternal grandparents were Allen Jones Dean and Sarah Thial. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William H., Bernard Allen, Alfred Gideon, George H., Francis A., Katherine Eliza, Isabella Annie and Parmicia. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 78 on May 17th, 1929. She was buried in Jasper Co., SC.1 1 -
