William Morton 
William was born on May 31st, 1782 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.1 William's father was Lemuel Morton and his mother was Martha Newcomb. His paternal grandparents were Elkanah Morton and Rebecca Tupper; his maternal grandparents were John Newcomb and Mercy Barnaby. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, James, George E., Holmes, Charles, Guy, Rebecca and Mary Alice. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 66 on August 4th, 1848 in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.1 -
