William Aiken Mew 
William Aiken was born about 1868 in Beaufort Dist., SC.1 William Aiken's father was John Elias Mew and his mother was Sarah Ann Winifred Bowers. His paternal grandparents were Samuel K. Mew and Eliza Maria Dozier. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John McRolly, Joseph Frederick, Vera Clementine, Eliza Rebecca, Olive Dell, Alma Blanche, Annie Augusta and Myrtle Dorothy. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died in 1922.1 -
