Alma Blanche Mew 
Alma Blanche was born about 1876 in Beaufort Dist., SC.1 Alma Blanche's father was John Elias Mew and her mother was Sarah Ann Winifred Bowers. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel K. Mew and Eliza Maria Dozier. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Aiken, John McRolly, Joseph Frederick, Vera Clementine, Eliza Rebecca, Olive Dell, Annie Augusta and Myrtle Dorothy. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.1 -
