Philip Jacob Messner 
Philip Jacob was born in 1781.1 Philip Jacob's father was John Messner and his mother was Anna Catharine Mosser. His paternal grandparents were Casper Messner and Anna Barbara Elkhardt. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Michael, Christian, Ludwig, Anna Barbara, Anna Catherine, Elizabeth, Margaret and Susanna. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 in 1855.1 -
