Lillian Venta was born on October 30th, 1861 in Effingham Co., GA.1   Lillian Venta's father was Jeremiah Mallette and her mother was Mary Ann Porter.  Her paternal grandparents were Gideon Mallette and Hannah Elizabeth DeRoche; her maternal grandparents were William G. Porter and Mary Ann Treutlen. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Jeremiah Alberti, Lawrence Eliot, Amanda B., Mary Elizabeth, Isabel Eveline, Alice Jeannette and Leila Corine.  She was the youngest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Robert Taylor, Frances Malvina, Julia Eveline, Elvira Lenora and Laura Anna.  She died at the age of 61 on May 15th, 1923.  She was buried in Laurel Grove Cem, Savannah, GA, Lot# 2312.1 1
