Famous Odis was born on January 20th, 1909 in Rabun Co., GA.1 Famous Odis' father was George Washington Kilby and his mother was Althea Izona Justus. His paternal grandmother was Mary Malinda Kilby; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Justus and Martha Elizabeth York. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Ferdinand Cartilue, Farish, George Felmer, Gladys Medisto, Geneva B., Bonnie Gay, Genus Pearl and Gertrude. He died at the age of 28 on October 3rd, 1937. He was buried in Rabun Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
