Thornton Hunt

Thornton was born on October 7th, 1817 in South Carolina.¹   Thornton's father was William Lewis Hunt and his mother was Margaret Finley. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named George Washington [Washie], Lewis, Terrell, William, Jesse, Howard F., Franklin Jackson, Malinda Jane, Irene and Mary Jane.  He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 43 on September 27th, 1861.¹
