Ruth Hinshaw 
Ruth was born on January 18th, 1810 in Randolph, NC.1 Ruth's father was Jesse Hinshaw and her mother was Eunice Gifford. Her paternal grandparents were John Hinshaw and Ruth Pike; her maternal grandparents were Jonathan Gifford and Eunice Beard. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Jesse, Jonathan P., Mary, Sarah and Eunice. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.1 General Notes
