James Norman Gilchrist

James Norman was born on February 19th, 1840.¹ James Norman's father was Archibald McKay Gilchrist and his mother was Margaret Davidson Mushat. His paternal grandparents were Angus Gilchrist and Margaret McKay. He had a brother and five sisters, named John Mushat, Margaret McKay, Mary Davidson, Effie Christian, Theresa Anne and Katherine Brooks. He died at the age of 31 on November 17th, 1871 in Haynesville, Ala..¹
