Singleton Pleasant Ghormley 
Singleton Pleasant was born on April 20th, 1877 in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee.1 Singleton Pleasant's father was William Green Ghormley and his mother was Malinda Jane Hunt. His maternal grandparents were George Washington [Washie] Hunt and Mary Carolyn [Polly] Wilson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James Napoleon, Benjamin Finley, William Isaac, Sarah Ann, Margaret Irene, Malinda Louisa, Mary Texie and Janie Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 88 on June 27th, 1965.1 -
