Mary Texie Ghormley 
Mary Texie was born on March 19th, 1879 in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee.1 Mary Texie's father was William Green Ghormley and her mother was Malinda Jane Hunt. Her maternal grandparents were George Washington [Washie] Hunt and Mary Carolyn [Polly] Wilson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named James Napoleon, Benjamin Finley, Singleton Pleasant, William Isaac, Sarah Ann, Margaret Irene, Malinda Louisa and Janie Elizabeth. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 81 on February 8th, 1961.1 -
