Joshua Cushing 
Joshua was born on April 26th, 1853.1 Joshua's father was Barak Cushing and his mother was Julia Britton. His paternal grandparents were James Cushing and Deborah Washburn; his maternal grandparents were John Britton and Catherine. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Henry, Elisha Aaron and Julia Antoinette. He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, James and Sarah.1 General Notes

Joshua Cushing moved from White's Corners, N. Y. to Erie, Pa. and afterwards, in 1872, to Neb. In the autumn of 1899, they moved to Zincite, Mo. and then to Baxter Springs, Kan., and thence to Miami, Okla.; and in 1907, they moved to Texas.
