Elisha Aaron Cushing 
Elisha Aaron was born on August 21st, 1850.1 Elisha Aaron's father was Barak Cushing and his mother was Julia Britton. His paternal grandparents were James Cushing and Deborah Washburn; his maternal grandparents were John Britton and Catherine. He had two brothers and a sister, named John Henry, Joshua and Julia Antoinette. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, James and Sarah.1 General Notes

Elisha Aaron Cushing moved from White's Corners, N. Y. to Erie, Pa., and afterwards, in 1872, to Nebraska, settling in Grafton, Fillmore Co. He was one of the leading merchants in Grafton for many years. In 1918 he lived at Somerset, Lincoln Co., Nebraska, where he was proprietor of a ranch.
