Chester Vaughn was born on April 27th, 1904 in Alexandria, IN.1 Chester Vaughn's father was Hiram Griswald Coy and his mother was Clara Rosetta Arnold. His paternal grandparents were Lafayette Waldo Coy and Armintha Kellogg; his maternal grandparents were William Henry Arnold and Clarissa Dosch. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Ralph Waldo, Hubert Lafayette, Harry Arnold, Hazel Ione, Marguerite Leona, Ethleene Lucille and Helen Eloise. He died at the age of 88 on January 1st, 1993 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH.1 General Notes

Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America certificate;
booklet from Western Reserve Historical Society News announcing Chester Coy as
a member; and program book from a concert given in 1949 at Severance Hall by
the Orpheus Male Chorus, of which Chester Coy participated.
