Mary E. C. Beard

Mary E. C. was born about 1848 in Screven Co., GA.¹   Mary E. C.'s father was Thomas Beard and her mother was Irene Varner.  Her paternal grandparents were John Beard and Susan Harris. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John Robert, Bainbridge Decatur, Thomas Crawford, Susan Cecilia, Julia P., Rebecca, Clara V. and Sarah Idell.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.¹
