John Robert Beard 
John Robert was born on May 21st, 1842.1 John Robert's father was Thomas Beard and his mother was Irene Varner. His paternal grandparents were John Beard and Susan Harris. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Bainbridge Decatur, Thomas Crawford, Susan Cecilia, Julia P., Mary E. C., Rebecca, Clara V. and Sarah Idell. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 on September 30th, 1923. He was buried in Screven Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
