Rose Ellender Barber 
Rose Ellender was born in 1823 in Onslow Co., N. C..1 Rose Ellender's father was Micah Barber and her mother was Elizabeth Brinson. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Barber and Serrena; her maternal grandparents were Hilary Brinson and Elizabeth Barfield. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Killis B., Joseph J., Thomas Richard, Elda Ann, Nancy, Serena Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Lucinda and Martha Caroline. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 79 in 1902 in Florida.1 -
