Jacob Israel Baker 
Jacob Israel was born on May 2nd, 1828.1 Jacob Israel's father was David S. Baker and his mother was Mahala Welch. His maternal grandparents were Osias Welch and Elizabeth Rowland. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Elish C., John Airhart, C. F. Volney, David Hume, Unknown, Elizabeth Josephine and Mary Anne Salome. He was the oldest of the eight children.1 -
