Elizabeth Josephine was born on December 23rd, 1829.1 Elizabeth Josephine's father was David S. Baker and her mother was Mahala Welch. Her maternal grandparents were Osias Welch and Elizabeth Rowland. She had six brothers and a sister, named Jacob Israel, Elish C., John Airhart, C. F. Volney, David Hume, Unknown and Mary Anne Salome. She was the second oldest of the eight children.1 -
