James Babcock 
James was born about 1663 in Westerly, RI.1 James' father was John Badcock and his mother was Mary Lawton. His paternal grandparents were James Badcock and Sarah Unknown; his maternal grandparents were George Lawton and Elizabeth Hazzard. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Job, George, Elihu, Robert, Joseph, Oliver, Ann and Mary. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died in Westerly, RI.1 -
