Mary Custis Lee 
Mary Custis was born in 1835 in Arlington, VA, USA.1 Mary Custis' father was Gen Robert Lee and her mother was Mary Ann Custis. Her paternal grandparents were Henry lll Lee and Ann Hill Carter; her maternal grandparents were George Washington Parke Custis and Mary Lee Fitzhugh. She had three brothers and three sisters, named George Washington Custis, William Henry, Robert Edward, Anne Carter, Eleanor Agnes and Mildred Childe. She was the second oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 83 on November 22nd, 1918 in Ravenswood, VA, USA.2 General Notes

Post this crest by all means. I have the letter as well which speaks about "white " Lees and her family as "dark" Lees.. quote" What do you think of my paper?They tell me that in England an unmarried woman does not sport a crest." I also have a number of letters from Cassius F Lee along with his printed book on Lee family history dated August 1871. Cassius was General R. E Lee's cousin I believe.
