Mary Carter 
Mary was born in 1712 in Corotoman, Lancaster Co, VA. Mary's father was Robert Carter and her mother was Betty Landon. Her paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Charles, Ludlow, Landon, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty and Lucy. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Judith and Judith II. She died at the age of 24 in 1736.General Notes
