John Carter

John was born in 1690 in Corotoman, Lancaster Co, VA.  John's father was Robert Carter and his mother was Judith Armistead.  His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow. He had four sisters named Elizabeth, Sarah, Judith and Judith II.  He was the second oldest of the five children. He had five half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Robert, Charles, Ludlow, Landon, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty, Mary and Lucy.  He died at the age of 53 on April 30th, 1743.
