George Carter 
George was born in 1718 in Corotoman, Lancaster Co, VA. George's father was Robert Carter and his mother was Betty Landon. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Charles, Ludlow, Landon, Anne, Sarah, Betty, Mary and Lucy. He was the youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Judith and Judith II. He died at the age of 24 in 1742 in England.General Notes
