Sarah Fortson 
Sarah was born on March 30th, 1800 in Elbert County, GA.1 Sarah's father was Benjamin Fortson and her mother was Elizabeth Gaines. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Rachel Winn. She had three brothers and four sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Thomas, Richard F., Benjamin G., Maud, Rachel W., Elizabeth A., Amanda N. M., Easton and Mahala. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers named James and John. She died at the age of 46 in May 1846 in Green County, AL.1 -
