Samuel H. Fortson 
Samuel H. was born on June 10th, 1799.1 Samuel H.'s father was William Fortson and his mother was Ann Higginbotham. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Rachel Winn; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Higginbotham and Jane Satterwhite. He had five brothers and five sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named William Thomas, Elijah Satterwhite, Roderick R., Peter E., Aaron J., Jane, Rachel Wynn, Elizabeth, Frances, Ann, Jeptha V. and Elisha. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children.1 -
