William Fortson 
William was born on February 28th, 1774 in Virginia.1 William's father was Thomas Fortson and his mother was Rachel Winn. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Elizabeth Winn; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Winn and Miss Taverner. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin, Richard, Jesse, Elizabeth and Millie. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 71 on January 9th, 1846 in Green County, AL.1 -
