Rachel Wynn Fortson 
Rachel Wynn was born on October 20th, 1797 in Elbert County, GA.1 Rachel Wynn's father was William Fortson and her mother was Ann Higginbotham. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Rachel Winn; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Higginbotham and Jane Satterwhite. She had six brothers and four sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Samuel H., William Thomas, Elijah Satterwhite, Roderick R., Peter E., Aaron J., Jane, Elizabeth, Frances, Ann, Jeptha V. and Elisha. She was the second oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 75 on December 3rd, 1872.1 -
