Elizabeth Fortson 
Elizabeth was born on March 19th, 1801.1 Elizabeth's father was William Fortson and her mother was Ann Higginbotham. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Fortson and Rachel Winn; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Higginbotham and Jane Satterwhite. She had six brothers and four sisters, and also two siblings of unknown gender, named Samuel H., William Thomas, Elijah Satterwhite, Roderick R., Peter E., Aaron J., Jane, Rachel Wynn, Frances, Ann, Jeptha V. and Elisha. She was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.1 -
