John Henry was born on October 13th, 1899 in Navarro County Texas.1   John Henry's father was Willis Jackson Farmer and his mother was Dorothy Mae Timmons.  His paternal grandparents were John Thomas Farmer and Nancy Jane Ballard; his maternal grandparents were Henry Norman Timmons and Nancy Elizabeth Crawford. He had a brother and a sister, named Walter Hampton and Eula May. He had seven half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Charles Edward, Arthur Willis, Dewey Curtis, Kenneth Eugene, Jackson Dorman, Carl Edmond, Earl Cornilius, Ova Lee, Wanda Yvonne, Veita Viola, Hettie Mae, Gloria Marlene, Juanita and Catherine.  He died at the age of 68 on December 28th, 1967 in Ft Worth, Tarrant Co., TX.1
