John Thomas was born in 1849 in Alabama or Georgia.1 John Thomas' father was Armstead Farmer and his mother was Meg (Armstead Farmer). He had two brothers and two sisters, named William J., Andrew M., Mary J. and Hester. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died in ?.1
