Cora was born in April 1886 in Blount Co., AL.1 Cora's father was John Thomas Farmer and her mother was Nancy Jane Ballard. Her paternal grandparents were Armstead Farmer and Meg (Armstead Farmer); her maternal grandparents were Lewis Ballard and Mary E. Caldwell. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William D., Andy M., George T., Willis Jackson, John B., Walter, Cannie and Mary Lou.1 -
