Cannie was born on June 13th, 1871 in Blount Co., AL.1 Cannie's father was John Thomas Farmer and her mother was Nancy Jane Ballard. Her paternal grandparents were Armstead Farmer and Meg (Armstead Farmer); her maternal grandparents were Lewis Ballard and Mary E. Caldwell. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William D., Andy M., George T., Willis Jackson, John B., Walter, Mary Lou and Cora. She died at the age of 85 on December 10th, 1956.1 -
