Josias II Von was born on July 31st, 1636 in Wildungen. Josias II Von's father was Philipp VII Von Waldeck-Wildungen and his mother was Anna Katharina Von Sayn-Wittgenstein. His paternal grandparents were Christian Von Waldeck-Wildungen and Elizabeth Von Nassau-Siegen; his maternal grandparents were Ludwig II Von Sayn-Wittgenstein and Elizabeth Juliana Zu Solms-Braunfels. He had a brother named Christian Ludwig Von. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 32 on July 16th, 1669 in Crete.General Notes
