James Vestal 
James was born in 1726 in Chester Co., PA. James' father was William+ Vestal and his mother was Elizabeth Mercer. His paternal grandparents were William Vestal and Alice Glover; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Mercer and Mary Greenaway. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Thomas Curran+, David, Mary and Jemima. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Joseph. He died at the age of 67 in 1793 in Surry Co., NC.General Notes
