John Vestal 
John was born after 1716 in Chester, PA. John's father was William+ Vestal and his mother was Elizabeth Mercer. His paternal grandparents were William Vestal and Alice Glover; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Mercer and Mary Greenaway. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Thomas Curran+, David, Mary and Jemima. He is the oldest of the seven children. He has a half-brother named Joseph.General Notes
