Mary Ann was born on November 4th, 1844 in Lehigh Co., PA. Mary Ann's father was Charles Troxell and her mother is Sarah Christman. Her paternal grandparents were Daniel Troxell and Elizabeth Siegfried. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles Daniel, Alfred, Simon Christman, Sarah Amanda, Charity, Isabella, Margaret Elizabeth and Eliza Ann.
