Jesse Stanley 
Jesse was born on November 22nd, 1776 in Gilford Co., NC. Jesse's father was Strangeman Stanley and his mother was Jemima Mills. His paternal grandparents were James+ Stanley and Catherine+ Hutchins; his maternal grandfather was Hur Mills and his maternal grandmother is Rachel Harrold. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Isaiah, Michael, Samuel, Catherine, Abigail, Martha, Rachel and Jemima. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
