Thomas+ was born in 1616 in Bickerstaff, Ormskirk, Lancastershire, England. Thomas+'s father was Edward+ Stanley and his mother was Isabel+ Warburton. His paternal grandparents were Henry+ Stanley and Mary Margaret+ Stanley; his maternal grandparents were Peter+ Warburton and Mary+ Holcroft.
