James Monroe 
James was born on April 28th, 1758 in Monroe's Creek, Westmoreland Co., VA. James' father was Spence Monroe and his mother is Elizabeth Jones. His paternal grandfather was Andrew Monroe. He had three brothers and a sister, named Spence, Andrew, Joseph Jones and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 73 on July 4th, 1831 in New York City, NY.
