Maria Hester Monroe 
Maria Hester was born in 1803 in Paris, France. Maria Hester's father was James Monroe and her mother was Elizabeth Kortright. Her paternal grandfather was Spence Monroe and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Jones. She had a brother and a sister, named James Spence and Eliza Kortright. She was the youngest of the three children. She died at the age of 47 in 1850 in Oak Hill, Loudoun Co., VA.General Notes
