Jean IX De was born after 1525. Jean IX De's father was Henri De Merode and his mother was Francoise Van Brederode. His paternal grandparents were Rikalt De Merode and Marguerite De Hornes; his maternal grandparents were Walraf II Van Brederode and Margareta Van Borsselen. He was an only child.
